Media notes
A few Peet call notes from the flycatcher. It did not make any other call (no Whit or Flik sounds). Probably Alder Flycatcher.
Observation details
Audio of typical call of Alder Flycatcher, and two photos of the bird showing wingbars, white throat, broad tail, pink lower mandible of bill, moderate primary projection (longer than that of Least Flycatcher). Although eye ring is not prominent, that is not unusual for birds in worn fall plumage. Advised by Marshall Iliff to change ID from Alder Flycatcher to Eastern Wood Pewee.
