A pair, female in front and the male just behind, as they moved along in the shelter of some bushes near the house. They seemed nervous. Between the second and third songs from the end, some "clicking" or "cooing" can be heard. The male had just found a bug and called to the female to retrieve it. Seven songs total. An unusual song at the beginning, but repeated faithfully. ML: 500 Hz high-pass filter applied during copy. ML: Subject changed by ML archival staff from Colinus virginianus to Colinus virginianus [virginianus Group] following eBird/Clements v2016. -Jay McGowan, 3 Aug 2016.
