Observation details
Excerpted from CBRC submission: "A stocky warbler with yellow underparts and an olive-green back and wings—the tail/undertail were not seen well as the bird was mostly facing towards me. The bill appeared dark but perhaps not black, the eye appeared black, and leg color was not noted. The face pattern was distinctive with a yellow supercilium that extended from the bill to above and posterior to the eye and with a “comma” descending directly behind the eye. Black extended from the bill base and broadened below and behind the eye and downwards forming a partially black auricular patch and black crescent-sideburns that offset a yellow throat in front and olive behind. The crown was not seen well/long enough to assess color. The boldness of the black on the face appeared subdued making me think in the field that this was probably a female bird (as I state in my recording) but the observation was brief enough that I’m not 100% positive. Duration of calls: ca. 20 seconds Duration that bird was visible: ca. 7-10 seconds"
