Observation details

I first spotted the individual at exactly -33.363613, -70.649248, in the crease of the valley, perched quite still on a small tree. It then flew a considerable distance towards the path ahead next to the canal and briefly landed, after which it again flew quite far to perch on a different tree, and then to another. This pattern was repeated over and over, and I was surprised at the distance it covered between perches. When perched, it stayed quite still for several minutes at a time, looking around. Attached are videos and photos of the same individual. A great record! // Vi por primera vez al individuo exactamente a los -33.363613, -70.649248, en el pliegue del valle, posado bastante quieto en un pequeño árbol. Luego voló una distancia considerable hacia el sendero junto al canal y aterrizó brevemente, después de lo cual volvió a volar bastante lejos para posarse en un árbol diferente, y luego otro más. Este patrón se repitió una y otra vez, y me sorprendió la distancia que cubría entre posarse. Cuando se posó, permaneció bastante quieto durante varios minutos, mirando a su alrededor.
