Observation details
counted one by one. All were Greater Yellowlegs with bill noticeably longer than head, two-toned, and slightly turned up. Greater call as well. They were in the northernmost part of the inlet which is very secluded. Access required a great deal of bushwhacking through dense vegetation. It was also high tide and this part of the inlet has various debris that provides perches on the water in high tide. These factors might be why so many Yellowlegs favor this spot?
