Observation details
First seen in the field among a flock of Killdeer near the NW corner of the marsh. At one point they flew off to the north, but eventually landed back in the wet field in the dip along the north side of the marsh. In flight, the birds showed a grayish underwing with no black axillary spot, and the bill was too small, so that ruled out Black-bellied Plover. The underwing wasn't white enough for European Golden Plover. The primary projection was too long for Pacific Golden Plover.
