Observation details

Original ID was American Golden Plover based on observation. Examination of photos indicates Pacific, similar to the molting bird being seen at Hatteras NC until two weeks ago. Larger bill, much longer legs, more robust and beefier demeanor, golden yellowish spots on back. Unfortunately brief encounter, maybe 30 seconds, and no vocalization. First record for Nantucket, fourth for MA
