See photos. A person was flying a drone, which flushed the entire Black Noddy colony on the rock/island in the bay at one time. The photos below are of that flying flock. One photo is of the entire flock, and two of them are of the left side / right side. I roughly counted the individual birds in the single photo, and came up with 375. If a more precise number is needed, the photos could be more accurately counted. Though there were many individuals flying in and out from the rock continuously, I was shocked at how high a number flushed! Of course, reasonable to assume that many individuals were not even in this flushed group at the time. ebird says this count is very high for this time and location, so let me know if this data needs to be further validated.
