Observation details
It looked more like a plumbeous than a Cassin's...but I didn't see the entire bird because it was moving high above me in pines the whole time. Obvious gray head, white spectacles, white "bar" i front of the eye, gray on the sides, white below. I didn't see any pale yellowish-green as would be expected for Cassin's vireo. I didn't see the bird's back. No photos, unfortunately. Audio recordings. I compared them in detail with examples from the Cornell Master Set for both Cassin's and plumbeous vireo by generating audio spectrograms. The recordings I obtained are a closer match for plumbeous in their ptich and time-frequency shape. Comments are welcome.
