Media notes

A series of single "wow" calls ascending in pitch, the last few slower. This species is known to give two calls. The first call, "wow wow", is the most common call. The call on this recording is less frequently heard and for some time was thought to be that of the female. Dr. Keuhn observed a male bird giving the call in the Taijin Zoo. This call was recorded during the day. Habitat: Lowland rainforest. Elevation: 60-150 meters. Habitat: Rainforest.
