Observation details
After a second day's search, I observed some grackles feeding in the shadows on the ground below some bushes and evergreens. Jumping out at me was the white undertail coverts on another bird with the grackles, and I quickly moved to another vantage point. Medium sized marsh bird with long yellow legs, bronze, green and blue back, purple breast, neck and head and red bill with yellow tip. The bird was elusive and quickly moved up into the spruce trees, moving quickly from branch to branch and tree to tree. Second worst record shot ever taken, only slightly behind a round white blob which was supposed to depict a Cattle Egret, taken from a moving vehicle in the center of a roadway.
