Observation details
As first seen by Doug Morel here yesterday, a rare bird. A large sandpiper, with very long, slightly upturned bill. Overall buffy cinnamon color. Long darkish legs. It was in the SW corner of the Saw Mill Mud Flats; it was actually the first bird I saw when I arrived. It was being harassed by some gulls. Very dainty looking next to the gulls. But then it took off and I lost track of it. But got a very good look using my new scope. Unfortunately, I do not have a proper digiscope set up and my attempt to just use my phone was pretty bad. I also have a far in the distance photo.
