Observation details
Photos. Atop a 30 foot tree in the marsh on Chebacco Road, near the woods. Identification marks distinguished from RWBL, COGR and BHCO: pale eyes, long thin bill, sang "chick-a-cha-REEEEEE" with the last note (REEEEE) being a very sharp, loud, high pitched whistle - much higher than RWBL's final song note, and the song matched exactly the song on the Audubon Field Guide web site (www.audubon.org/field-guide/bird/rusty-blackbird), also tail shape, body color uniform dark. These three were moving alone - no other blackbirds in the vicinity.
