Observation details
Adult flew downriver just before 6:00pm. Larger than Common Terns that we’re also flying around after passage of Tropical Storm Isaias. Black above, white below, small white patch on forehead, mostly white underwings, forked tail. Linda Olsen, who was also with me, got to see it as well. Knowing 5 were seen today inland at Bantam Lake, I played a hunch that one or more might fly down river as storm passed. Record photos.
