Observation details
White-backed Vultures (Gyps africanus) are the common vulture of the open savanna in large African reserves, but despite this the species is critically endangered over most of its range. This pair of White-backed Vultures were nesting in a tall Jackalberry Tree (Diospyros mespiliformis) on the Bume River Road in Kruger National Park. The darker female has a very full crop.
