***RARE. Apparently a first country record. At least nine different individuals in more open dry grassy area and along roadside. We had split into a few different groups to look for Nicaraguan Grackle (fail) and most groups stumbled upon individuals and small flocks totaling at least nine different individuals. Identification straightforward: Relatively small, short-tailed sparrows with relatively small bills. Darker brownish-gray above. White below with prominent streaking across breast and sides. A few photos clearly show one individual.
