Observation details
Heard the song first in overgrown grassy field, "Chap Chap bzt bzt bzt bzt bzt bzt". Found the bird, a small wren sitting up in the grasses singing. Looked like a miniature marsh wren with an unmarked breast, slightly buffy in color and with a dark cap. From the angle, I could not see streaking or the top of the head. Clearly the size and song differentiate it from Marsh Wren. Media attached. In the video, the bird is in the upper left hand corner and sings at the end of the clip. Private property. Land owner and PA Game Commission did not want this potentially breeding PA endangered species disturbed. Bird did not stick around.
