Observation details
Very careful count with simultaneous maximum count and avoiding of duplicative count in mind. This is the largest the colony has been in years according to Mike Supernault. At least 16 juvenile birds (all but one flightworthy) and 12 adult birds. Nearly all of these were approx 200-400m west of the mouth of Mullett Lake , and one nest was another 1/2 mile ish upstream or this point woth both adults taking food down to water level which is indirect proof of at least one chick.
