Observation details
Continuing, reported by David Dorini, but found by Chris Brown. It was flying over lake when we were near the marina, then when we walked to the lakeside bench off of the paved MUP trail it was standing on dock at west end of the lake with the cormorants and ring-billed gulls. It was a large tern, thick reddish or dark orange bill without a black tip. The tern was about 1 1/2 times the size of the nearby ring-billed gulls. Took documentation photos but they are of poor quality when enlarged and cropped enough to make out some detail on the bird.
