Observation details
At a little after 5:00, I was walking on the south dike when I saw a slender-winged bird flying high over the pond, headed northwest. I got my bins on it, and it immediately struck me as a LAGU. I was somehow able to get a few shots of it before it disappeared over the trees, and the photos seem to confirm LAGU - dusky wings/darker toward the wingtips, trailing white secondary edges, light body, and dark head. Since this bird was flying northwest, it may be headed to Lanier (and it’s certainly worth keeping an eye out!)
