Media notes

Songs given from low perches in a mixed shrub-grass field. Many songs given in flight between perches. Eventually started giving three call types after brief playback (9:32-9:58, 11:12, then 12:35-14:26).

Observation details

**Rare. Continuing from last night, singing in middle of switchgrass field about here: (42.46502, -76.45939). Sometimes audible from north or east (Bluegrass Lane itself) side of field, but mostly sticking to middle and easier to hear by walking along north side by houses and then cutting down the west side of the field. First eBird record for Bluegrass and first in Northeast Ithaca since two birds were on territory on Freese Road around the same time in July, 2000.
