Observation details
Dideric Cuckoos (Chrysococcyx caprius) are common throughout much of sub-Sharan Africa. They are brood parasites – these males were competing to be nearest to a colony of Southern Masked Weavers (Ploceus velatus) nesting in acacias hanging over water at Sunset Dam in southern Kruger National Park.
