NOTES: (Gen. Climate: Arid. Cover Density: Thick.) Cassette counter 233-247. In my experience, this is a common call for a canyon wren. In other words, this is what I frequently hear whenever I am near one. I don't know if it represents anxiety, if they give this call periodically all the time as a bond maintenance or what. It is, however, as valuable for identification purposes as their beautiful cascading song. LNS Note: This cut was digitized from a restored reel. JN 21 Oct 2005 LNS Note: Unbroken cut with handling noise gain change. JN 21 Oct 2005. Habitat: Forest, Creek, Riparian, Rocky.
