Observation details

This was prior to my eBird days, and we did not always count or record in our notes (if counted) the exact number of individuals seen of a given species. In this case our notes said "many," and the number supplied here is a likely conservative estimate of the actual number. Only the yellow on the bird's "chin" part of the yellow throat is seen in this photo; the lower part is obstructed by foliage. The yellow on the breast and upper belly are not fully visible due to the angle at which the bird was turned.
