Observation details
Continuing bird, originally found July 19 by Gordon Fitch and reported yesterday at this location by Aditya Varma Muppala, who like us (and Oliver Kew) thought he heard at least 3 & possibly 4 birds. We walked along a path next to the railroad track (starting where the track intersects with Warren Road) and heard two N. Bobwhites in the distance, singing from a stand of tall mature "Christmas trees" perpendicular to & west of the track, while a third sang from the other side of the track. Finally we heard the 4th very close by, right where the RR track intersects with Warren. Jack Kew joined us and spotted the bird perched low in a tall tree closest to the track. Please note that this property belongs to Braun's Tree Farm, http://www.braunstrees.com, a family farm whose owner we met. Photos and audio (the louder audio is of the bird photographed while the fainter one was in the tall fir trees a few hundred yards down the railroad track). A life bird for us!
