Observation details
I just happened to be looking out my work window which is on the second floor and I saw something fall or flop to the ground at the base of a large Juniper. I figured it was a squirrel but then I saw a wing. I grabbed my bins and immediately saw the white brow of a juvenile Saw-Whet. I quickly got down to the tree and the bird had nestled up against the trunk. After taking some pics, I figured I should put it back in the tree before it became a feral cat casualty. As I got to within a foot of the bird it weakly flew to a low small tree then worked its way back up into the denser area of the junipers. Washoe county bird #302
