Observation details
The Black Crake (Amaurornis flavirostra) is widespread in sub-Saharan Africa in freshwater marshes, pans and streams. Black Crakes are confiding, often feeding without concern close to people. This crake was feeding on small invertebrates hiding amongst flood litter on the Tsendze River Causeway in Kruger. National Park.
