Observation details
A surprise as I was dining outdoors at the Sandpiper Restaurant. The birds flew in landing in dense grass. Not Common Grackles as I noticed the splayed out tails, flat-headed look, and this was followed by their distinctive vocalizations that I know well. Uniform coloration on males unlike the two-toned look on male Common Grackle; 2 males, 3 female/immature Upon leaving the restaurant, I saw two of the birds foraging on a lawn by the parking area and I was able to take several photos to augment this sighting. The birds were finding and consuming earthworms much as robins do!
