Prairie Warbler nest with three eggs.
Observation details
Wonderful looks at adult female carrying food to fledgling , with male singing nearby. When I went to id the tree the fledgling was in (after the adult female and fledgling flew away), I startled an adult female off her nest! Nest was only about one meter high in a small Virginia Pine. Fledgling was~ 1.5 meters high in a Red Oak sapling in an open field with many brambles and small pines. Fledgling appeared rather dull gray with some yellow. Prairie Warblers sometimes nest "in loose colonies." That I saw a fledgling being fed by an adult just a couple meters away from an active nest with eggs exemplifies this.
