Observation details
During an at-sea survey for Brachyramphus murrelets, a Fish & Wildlife Service team photographed three Long-billed Murrelets near Glacier Spit in Kachemak Bay. The first two were about halfway between the outflow of Glacier Spit and Aurora Lagoon. A short time later a third bird was encountered a bit further north. Coordinates: the group of two birds were at 59.67817 N, 151.16672 W and a shortly afterwards a single bird was at 59.69483 N, 151.200165 W Photos posted here were taken by Liz Labunski, USFWS.
