Media notes

PGPL #1 (toes projecting beyond tail) flying with BBPL.

Observation details

Seen well, and photographed. Bright golden juvenile plovers; with long legs, long bill, isolated ear spot, and short primary extension. One of the individuals (#1) had a somewhat longer than normal primary extension; though a review of the photos by various experts concluded that it was a Pacific Golden-Plover. The second individual (#2) had just 3 primaries extending past tertials, but a slightly smaller bill than #1.
