Observation details
Heard singing matched to CSWA song #1 east of homestead. Recordings at 9:18 & 9:19 AM. Unable to upload here but will email for confirmation. Update: Thanks to Kimball Garrett and Matthew Grube for helping with song identification. The song and vocals sounded like what's on record for CSWA, but the spectogram shows otherwise. On a return trip, it seemed to make the BLGR react the most and loudest with its own song, possibly territorial defense. But the other birds react as well by singing the same notes back. As Matthew was informing me, there seems to be a lot of hybrid birds. This voice may belong to a bunting/grosbeak.
