Observation details
First seen at 0819 when it came in from the NE, the bird initial stayed in the low mesquite scrubs just outside the eastern park boundary. The bird then crossed into the park on the eastern side before it crossed over the pond and landed in the same tree the YGVI was vocalizing in, I lost track of the bird after it crossed over to the west side of the park. Deep orange that had hints of red in the face. The body was bright orange with prominent white wing bars and streaked back. The bird did not vocalize during my observation. Distant photos taken.
