Observation details
First observation at 0823. 1 counted on property. Seen flying low at ca 1.5x shrub height over the diversion, heading downstream. Flew almost over our heads. Lots of alarm calls from RWBL and EAKI, with an EAKI and several RWBL dive bombing the goshawk as it continued at least 400 m downstream without stopping. Juvenile - heavily brown-streaked underside. Relatively large Accipiter. Head projected way too much for SSHA and it was too large for that species; tail was too short for COHA and the secondaries were clearly bulging. Detections (number 15-minute intervals in which the species was detected): 1 on property.
