Observation details
Very glad to see, I had seen a pair of adults at the trail junction nearly every time I've visited this spring. Today I found a nest with at least 3, possibly 4 young. Both parents brought food to the nestlings, with the female bringing food more frequently. Nest is about 30-40' high, towards the outermost branch of an Eastern White Oak tree. Part of the branch broke off, and the nest is nestled in the outermost fork, in a seemingly strong part of the branch. The outside of the nest is covered in lichen, and it blends in well with the branches.
