Media notes
feathers found by Bev King near the turnoff for the tower, just minutes after Marshall found the primary, and sent to Marshall Iliff; uploaded here by Marshall; top right feather is a Great Horned breast feather, middle is clearly Barn Owl, and leftmost one maybe a Barn Owl breast feather
Observation details
**rare; second island record and one of only a couple modern records from county; feathers found include upper wing covert and secondary found by Marshall Iliff and an upper parts contour feather found by Bev King in same area as GHOW breast feather. Presumably was killed by Great Horned the previous night or some other time in very recent past. Note that there is one prior record of a dead Barn Owl in winter, which could have been killed by a Snowy Owl or succumbed in some other way.
