Observation details
I found this gull today and originally thought it was an Iceland, but changing this to GWGU after talking to a couple of people. Amar Ayyash, premier gull guy from Illinois said this, " I’m fairly confident you have a 1st cycle Glaucous-winged there. The densely patterned upper tail coverts, darker gray 2nd generation scapulars coming in, and stout bill all look better for that species, over Iceland. If more people chime in and things change I will change the bird. All white gull with brown tinge, looks dirty. White tail, secondaries, primaries. All black bill. Pink legs. Comparible in size to Mallard. I have sent this bird to some gull people and one thinks it is a Glaucous-winged. Anyone else that might me familiar with GWGU please contact me. scotty76308@gmail.com 2nd accepted record TBRC 2020-45 TPRF 3739
