Observation details
The first bird was singing a typical song from the southernmost willow thicket upon my arrival. It eventually emerged into the small clearing inside the patch - a female-type (SY male) redstart with yellowish orange tail patches, flanks, and wing bars. Then, as I continued toward the wetland, I heard a second song from the willows further along Centerville road. It didn’t sound like the first bird so I walked the road toward where it was singing, about 150 feet east of the first bird. It was also a female-type identical to the first, but singing a different song (see recordings). Upon returning to the first bird, it was still singing from the spot I had found it. Additionally, returning to the beach, I could clearly hear both birds singing from opposite ends of the patch. Photo and a recording for both
