Observation details
Seen and heard in the thick, tall willows along access road to irrigation inflow/outflow foot bridge. Heard first giving descending flute like song, descending in two main parts. Also typical rough “veeer” call and a lower, shorter “vur” call. Audio recordings to follow. Seen briefly. Catharus thrush with bright rufous upperparts (even in shadow), grayish face, pale gray sides, weak spotting isolated on upper breast.
