Observation details
Continuing bird; photos, recording. As noted in previous checklists, this species sings from 3 different patches of woods, all east of Grindstone Creek. At the start (heard singing when I got out of my vehicle at 8 am) the bird sang regularly at the rate of 2-4 X a minute. After 10 am the bird sang at a similar rate but there were gaps when the bird did not sign for 20-40 minutes. I visually observed the bird 3 separate occasions for more than 10 minutes without any evidence of the bird carrying food to young. Without evidence to the contrary, it appears that, surprisingly, that this is an non-mated male.
