Behavior and other notes: Adult male Golden-crowned Kinglet singing from several different perches in a group of a Red Spruce. Primary complex song and contact calls are heard. There are several examples of the Brown Creeper-like calls and one example of the BRCR-like multi-parted trilled call that would be indistinguishable from the similar call of a BRCR. This is the same male as in ML241395441. Recording Time: 0536 (UTC -4). Temperature 17.8C. Habitat: Edge of wild area before golf course parking lot. Composed of alders, spruce, and beech trees. There are two retention ponds in this area. Distance to sound source: 8-12.5 meters. Specific location: Canaan Valley State Park, Tucker Co., WV. Latitude 39.034325, Longitude -79.461210.
