Observation details
In previously reported roost location along the elevated Henry Hudson Parkway between 155th and 159th, clearly visible from the Greenway path. Bright green above, white below, white face, orange/pink bill, long tail, a little smaller than a pigeon, raucous call. I saw two at the roost, which I watched for twenty minutes or so as the two birds there took turns flying out and returning with thick twigs; they called while leaving and while returning. Also heard another calling from under the parkway while I watched the roost; saw 4 flying at once a little south of 155th; saw several individuals in other locations along the Greenway, calling from trees. Calling it 4 since I can't prove any of them weren't part of the largest group I saw, but I suspect I saw 6-8 in all, and there are probably more--I didn't search under the elevated highway for more roosts.
