Media notes
Two cuts of an adult male Hepatic Tanager giving dawn song from an oak-pine-Alligator Juniper-grass covered slope above our campsite overlooking the old Lake Rucker, 1860m. In the first cut, a distant tanager is answering, and a Rufous-crowned Sparrow sings in background. In the second cut, the bird has moved to another perch and one can hear another distant tanager answering, calls of a Brown Creeper, and songs of a Spotted Towhee in the background. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
