Observation details
We were just outside Tenant Creek, the hills rising up in their spinifex ranks and files, when a little party of Pigeons leapt up off the road, just about flying down the car's grille... but that wasn't the biggest surprise!! The bluish wings... the marbled black and white heads... to this day I would swear blind that, as I cried out in alarm, they were FLOCK BRONZEWINGS... but then, after a hasty stop and storming of the spinifex, the Pigeons clattered into the air... Spinifex Pigeons?! I still can't shake the fact my brain processed a Flock Bronzewing; the bird I saw was NOT a Spinifex... and yet the camera, as they say, never lies??
