Observation details
Grass bird rare species in the region seen today. at three different locations during almost 5Kms of trail. Different call heard & uncommon flight mode at lower height observed.Wait & watch. Bird went at bottom of bush & disappeared.Searched where bird disappeared but not found. Behaviour of bird similar to previous years observation. Gussed as Definitely grassbird. After long waiting period decided to shift same kind of habitat & surprisingly found another individual who entertained for long period. The bird came out after every 20/22 minutes..sat at tip of grass...branch...calling loudly & after that amplitude of call very low ..sometimes bird seen with calling behaviour but no sound or very low pitch call. After 1/2 minutes call bird took a flight & disappeared towards bottom of bushes. Location chosen by bird is such that the wetland grass../bushes surrounted by water & algae too.Difficilt to reach nearby..Bird always kept distance from me since bird saw me. But after sometime bird might be accepted my presence & frequently came out & calling. Now two more calls heard from two spots triangular in shape. All three birds formed a triangle. Others two heard..one seen in flight..one never seen...one infront of me but beyond approach. Decided to cross water stream but bird shifted as I changed my location. Since bird gave enough samples of call no need of playback. Happy to see the rare bird & identified with photographs , calls & video.
