Observation details
FHC, submitted 05.25.20 Change the filter because these birds are here. Use a separate filter for Cowles Bog as it is so widely visited and is a unique ecological area and trap. These were all heard within a relatively small 300 foot by 150 foot square area with one bird heard further to the east, in a grassy area i walked through quickly on the way back where there possibly could be more. The fact that only 1-2 birds have been reported here means that no one walks the grassy area to the west of the west bog and the trail leading to the lake. Photo of the one elevated singing bird and recordings of others. West of the west bog in the relatively small grassy area under/near the utility towers- to the east of the elevated utility towers and on the south side of the separate sunken marshy area. All birds singing, with one singing on a perch above the grass. Surprised afterwards that this many were singing during the heat of the day.
