Observation details
I heard one first and knew immediately it was a Sora; but I still pulled out my sounds to verify. When I played the recording, one emerged from the vegetation on my left not even 15 feet away, and I heard another one on my right (which also eventually emerged from its vegetation about 20 feet away). There were at least three that responded to my sound recording several times. (I kept playing it trying to catch a recording of them to upload.) I also heard a few more in the distance, but I didn't include them in my numbers since I'm not sure how many there were. I uploaded one of the recordings, though you have to listen very closely as the wind nearly drowns it out. They were much louder in person than on the recording.
