Observation details
These birds, or at least one of them, was continually vocalizing beginning about the middle of the observation. They took flight several times, usually after a bout of vocalizing, but always landed back near the north side of the ponded area. Once when they flew there was vocalizations during the flight. Rapid hi-pitched, clear, 3-5 single note calls sounding something like a GRYE on speed. Both bills would be open slightly with each vocalization. The Semipalmateds left after the last flight the Dowitchers took, with the vocalizing continuing again after the Dowitchers had landed again along the north shore. Short video of the one vocalizing
