Observation details
First observation at 0853. 1 counted on property. 1 individual(s) singing. A lone bird was heard singing briefly, apparently from beyond a chokecherry stand on the southern end of reach 3 (southeast of the diversion). The observers detoured slightly from the survey to better hear and to try to get a visual on the bird. Surprising habitat in the area: dense, non-native grassland dominated by Bromus inermis, with Savannah Sparrows on territory. No sagebrush in this area. Shane Sater was able to get a short recording of the bird singing but no visual was obtained and the bird stopped singing. Detections (number 15-minute intervals in which the species was detected): 1 on property.
