Observation details
I re-found the phalarope that James Kendall saw yesterday. Today it was in the same relative location as yesterday in the pocket pond area. Short, thick, two-toned bill; buff and black striping in its back;a white stripe up the sides of the neck and over the eye. The rest of the plumage is blotchy buff, gray and white. The left wing is a little droopy, but I watched it fly and swim when it wasn't standing on a sandbar preening.
